OTTN’s Empowered WaveMakers (EWM) is a training conference designed to equip Christian professionals with strong biblical foundation and practical skills for disciple-making. EWM brings together Christians from different backgrounds and age groups to learn, grow, and be prepared to make disciples in their communities.

The training uses a seven-module workshop that combines biblical teaching with practical skills. EWM focuses on discipleship principles, cultural and religious understanding, spiritual warfare, and children’s ministry. Participants are encouraged to live out their faith in daily life and intentionally help others follow Christ. Strong teamwork and follow-up structures are also emphasised to ensure that disciple-making continues after the training.

In Uganda, EWM trainings include regional camps that bring together participants from various tribes, denominations, and language groups, including South Sudanese. These gatherings have equipped emerging leaders, formed new disciple-making teams, and strengthened local follow-up efforts, especially in hard-to-reach areas. In Northern Ghana, EWM trainings have mobilised Christian professionals such as teachers, farmers, artisans, and educationists to impact their communities through discipleship.

EWM reflects OTTN’s commitment to empowering local believers, strengthening leadership, and advancing sustainable Disciple-Making Movements that bring lasting transformation to communities.
