Empowered WaveMakers Training

Empowered WaveMakers Training

OTTN’s Empowered WaveMakers (EWM) is a training conference designed to equip Christian professionals with strong biblical foundation and practical skills for disciple-making. EWM brings together Christians from different backgrounds and age groups to learn, grow, and be prepared to make disciples in their communities.

The training uses a seven-module workshop that combines biblical teaching with practical skills. EWM focuses on discipleship principles, cultural and religious understanding, spiritual warfare, and children’s ministry. Participants are encouraged to live out their faith in daily life and intentionally help others follow Christ. Strong teamwork and follow-up structures are also emphasized to ensure that disciple-making continues after the training.

In Uganda, EWM trainings include regional camps that bring together participants from various tribes, denominations, and language groups, including South Sudanese. These gatherings have equipped emerging leaders, formed new disciple-making teams, and strengthened local follow-up efforts, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

In Northern Ghana, EWM trainings have mobilized Christian professionals, including teachers, farmers, artisans, and educationists, to impact their communities through intentional disciple-making.

The seven-module training, built on biblical teachings and practical ministry skills, equips participants to engage their culture, support fellow believers, and multiply disciples across different religious and social settings.

EWM reflects OTTN’s commitment to empowering local believers, strengthening leadership, and advancing sustainable Disciple-Making Movements that bring lasting transformation to communities.

OTTN’s Empowered WaveMaker (EWM) training in Uganda marked a significant step forward in strengthening disciple-making efforts across the region. Hosted in Northern Uganda, the training brought together Ugandan participants alongside South Sudanese counterparts for a rich time of fellowship, practical training, and vision casting. Emerging leaders, disciple-makers, and trainers were equipped for effective fieldwork, with a strong emphasis on multiplying disciples in hard-to-reach communities. With nine camps completed and more than 70 South Sudanese participants involved, the EWM training fostered deeper collaboration, renewed spiritual commitment, and the development of local leadership, laying a solid foundation for sustainable Disciple-Making Movements in Uganda and beyond.
